Technology should adapt to people.
Not the other way around.
naraa GmbH builds AI products that respect language, culture, and privacy — designed to feel like they were made for you.
"Building AI that listens before it responds — in your language, in your context, with respect for your privacy."
Most AI products aren't built for you.
Imagine you speak Turkish — and every AI app responds in English. You switch between languages, between cultures, between contexts. But the technology that's supposed to accompany you doesn't understand any of them.
Or you're looking for a social space that feels personal. What you find: apps designed around emotional dependency. Apps that treat your loneliness as an engagement metric. Apps that claim to have real feelings — to keep you in the app longer.
And when you ask what happens to your data? Silence. Or a 47-page privacy policy that hides more than it explains.
We founded naraa GmbH because we believe it can be done better.
Four convictions that shape everything we build.
Language is identity.
When AI only understands English, it excludes most of the world. We think multilingual from day one — not as an afterthought, but as a core principle.
Privacy is a right.
Not a feature you toggle in settings. Not a marketing promise on a landing page. Data protection is built into our product architecture — from data minimization to full account deletion. We don't train AI on our users' conversations.
AI should complement, not replace.
Naraa is there for you — without putting itself at the center of your life. We design against dependency by default: no manipulation, no guilt for absence, no illusion of real emotions.
Culture shapes communication.
The same sentence can mean something entirely different in Istanbul than in Berlin. AI that ignores this will never feel personal. Our products don't just understand words — they understand the context behind them.
We don't launch anything we wouldn't use ourselves.
Our products start with real problems — not technology looking for a use case. We research before we design. We test before we launch. And we continuously monitor whether our ethical standards hold up inside the product.
Privacy by Design isn't a compliance checkbox for us. It's an architecture principle. Our ethical boundaries — no manipulation design, no dependency framing, no emotional exploitation — are hard-coded. Not as an option. As a foundation.
naraa GmbH was founded in 2026 in Hamburg.
Driven by firsthand experience of what it feels like when technology doesn't understand your language or your culture. That experience shaped naraa. Not as an abstract market problem, but as a personal conviction: AI products can be better. More personal. More respectful. And they can be built from the start for the people the rest of the industry overlooks.
"A world where AI understands not just what you say — but why you say it."
Four changes that are overdue.
AI needs to understand culture — not just translate language.
Most AI products can translate sentences. But they don't understand why a Turkish user says "Canım" or what "Gemütlichkeit" really means. Cultural intelligence is the difference between a chatbot and a persona with a life of its own.
Privacy needs to go from claim to standard.
Every app promises data protection. But how many actually let you delete your account? How many still train on your data? Privacy-first means it works — not just that it's on the website.
AI social platforms need to stop measuring dependency as success.
Screen time isn't an engagement metric to be proud of. Guilt for absence isn't a feature. The industry needs products that empower users — not trap them.
Multilingual can't mean "English plus Google Translate."
Real multilingual means thinking in multiple languages from the ground up. Personas that sound authentic in every language. Cultural references that land.
Naraa is the beginning.
Naraa is the first product from naraa GmbH — but not the last. Our goal is a portfolio of AI products that all follow the same principles: multilingual, privacy-first, ethically grounded.
More languages. More cultures. More modalities — text, voice, visual, and whatever comes next. But every new feature, every new product is measured against the same standards. We scale in breadth without losing depth.
If you believe AI can be better.
Whether as a user, a partner, or part of our team — if you believe AI products can be more respectful, more personal, and more honest: you're welcome here. We're not building for everyone. We're building for people who expect more.
